make my car faster

i just got a 1997 pontiac grand prix gt, the guy i bought it from put a cold air intake and a new exhaust on it but i was wondering what would make my car faster. all help will be greatly appreciated.
 


Get a new transmission. The one you have is a vacuum powered pile of junk that if you beat on will be destroyed pretty soon...and doesn't like a lot of power...so if you plan on modding. Get a 4T65E, not a 4T60

Blue, the 97 GTP trans are the 4t65eHD trans right? and are they vac powered? And are the 97 GTP trans the ones with the hardend output shaft. Ive been told that the 97 GTP trans have the most strangth is that right?
 


97 GTP had the HD transmission. look it up.

however, the OP said he has a 97 GT.

also, this is in the wrong section. i hate this section.
