Hi every1 im in a really crappy mood. it hasnt really rained that much since i have owned my 99 gtp. We had a storm tonight and i discover 2 inches of water on my pass floorboard up front. i flipped i said every swear under the sun "or moon it was like midnight" i need major help. i found the source. water collects insdie the railing for the sunroof "it was closed all the way" which trikles towards the right of the railing then leaks onto the headliner above. which trikles down the a pillar i believe leaving the suprises goodies on my floor! wtf do i need to do im lost and i need help fast n quick! thanks for any responces! :(

ps: i pulled the mirror and handles and framing ofsunroof plastic outline from inside the car out along with the a pillar. for easy access im sooo lost please help some1!!!

There is a drain pipe that runs down to the passenger door. Look open the door and you should see a rubber house that is the drain pip. Make sure it is not clogged.

OR

the seal for where the cabin airfilter goes is not sealed right

where and what is this cabin filter and location?? thanks alot man for trying to explain and help me!

The cabin filter is under the black plastic in front of the windshield on the pass side, there is a rubber piece in there that causes rain water to run into the blower motor box and onto the pass floor, this is a common problem

is this why there is water on the inside of my sunroof railing??

this may be a different problem but i know that the common problem is the stip that keeps water out of the blower motor comes off and water comes right in...i believe theres a write up on here i'll try and find it then post back

thanks man but thats not my problem i looked under my headliner and noticed its def coming in the sunroof right upper side. then leaking under the headliner traveling down the a pillar and then dropping the gifs of on my floor :{ any idea how to fix this?

haven't seen that one b4 but i'd suggest replacing the weather stripping around the sunroof and see if that helps at all...it could just be that its gotten worn out

yeah thats what i believe aswell well any1 know how much it would cost to replace and wtf to get it at???

Bud, you need to decide which thread you are going to track this issue in. Im not trying to be a jerk, but it has to be one or the other, you have now had three different threads on the same issue. I deleted one. So a decision needs to be made.

I want you to get the help you need and I wish I could contribute some information to point you in that direction, but I dont have any experience with this particular issue, but we cant have threads all about the forum on one issue.

i understand sorry im just really p.oed i called a dealer and its 169 for a weatherstripping!!! this thread is fine thanks man. ne1 know a cheap place?

Its not problem bud I understand you are wanting help quick. I think the best place to get that sort of thing from is probably going to be Ed Morad. I think his email address was posted in your other thread.

I know there is a drain tube or something up there that I have read from other such issues that can get clogged. Im not sure of the proceedure to get it cleaned out but you might want to see if that is something you can do as well.

cuz water gets into the channel in the "front" of the sunroof and leaks towards the passenger side and then drips down the headliner to the a pillar leading to the trail im possitive!
