Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

major mpg imrovement!!

lol
there crying about takeing off the resorntor for more power and more mph, but that does nothing since it onlys whighs 3lbs

I just crazy and im imagining this? Lol

If you can honestly question yourself like that, the answer is most likely you are not crazy.:th_jester:

However, you probably are imagining the mpg improvement. This is the time of year when most everyone’s mpg increases significantly. Although there are a dozens of factors involved in real life mpgs the big ones (that change with the season) are ambient temperature, road conditions and summer gas. Basically a warm engine is an efficient engine, pushing an inch of snow/water out of your way takes energy, and summer gas has a slightly higher btu content. Regardless, our PCMs “tune” the engine like every 50-ish miles so any resets don’t have a lasting effect.

And this whole exhaust thing is way too funny. I’ll throw this in just for something to stir the pot, the most significant factor in an exhaust system is its scavenging ability.:th_winking:

AKA- back pressure, it just a facny name

its funny and annoying, want me to cut my res in half to prove that its straight through, and has expansion chambers to muff the noise.

L36pro get off your high horse, and come down to reality

yea back pressure is for dd and street cars and scavenging is for racing motors
but there meaning the same thing just to different names

i used to have a link to a dyno test a guy did with his ubend out, his res and ubend out, and straight exhaust. it was a nice source and id love to quote it, but i cant find it anywhere

No, they are not.

Exhaust scavenging happens in every car. The perfect form of exhaust scanvenging has the exhaust flow match the intake flow. The exhaust should almost suck the engine exhaust out, instead of it being pushed out.

Backpressure is and always will be a myth.

cerick. the mpg increase with the resonator out is gonna be miniscule. but 3lbs is what it is. and i recall a test where for every 8lbs taken out was .01 seconds off your 1.4 mile, so thats .005.
again miniscule, but there.
