Mad Monkey's GP - Fresh and Clean

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Spoiler on, next project - making her shine!

wet sand it with soapy water, 2500 then 3000, then compound the crap out of it with the buffer, it will shine.

if you have a steady hand you can scrap runs off with a razor blade. its kinda hard to sand a run off with out removing to much around it.

search youtube vids for a lesson lol

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Spoiler on, next project - making her shine!

using 2500 ud be there forever, u need to have alil harsher like 1500, if u know what ur doin then 1500-2000 works best, it really depends on how much orange peel u have,

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

Looks legitimate boss!
This will be my next mod.
I totally want that speedo!

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

with a 3" pipe clamp, its got a rubber sleeve inside it and 2 band clamps plus that corrugated stuff outside, its awesome

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

yeah i had to cut a hole into the clamp to allow that tube to connect.. no idea what the tube did or why its there, but i put it all back to normal lol it is STRONG too.. because these clamps are reinforced it doesn't flex at all, no need to zip tie the filter at all its self supporting and sticking right into the spot it should be to be a CAI, but its still a HAI lol

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

if that jb weld stuff you used is sand able, well just saying.....and a coat of black paint.

kilometers look so funny. canadians lol

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

yeah thats my plan, sand the JB make it nice and smooth, maybe paint it with the metal cast too.. make the whole thing a nice silver and anodized blue :D

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

why is there a Tee???

mines better lol you can come to canada and ill show you where to buy the proper clamps and parts lol

you can remove the steel corrugated stuff and just use the rubber, for a all black intake. I think it would look much better black.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

you paying? because i want one now after hearing the "roar" of the NA.. i could only imagine sticking this intake on a SC

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

Toddler under the hood, mod.

Looks nice, but yeah...sand down or grind that JB weld down and hit it with some black primer...stands out like a sore thumb, lol.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Making a filter...

duplicolor MetalCast is the coolest stuff..

Sanded these first, ground off some rust.
Shot it with some primer.

then shot the metalcast ground coat. which lays down like butter IMO.. zoo easy

then some of the top coat :D
