• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Machinegunsquid's Sonic Operation Black things!

Ah-hah, The plasti-dip ran me a total of $10 for 5 cans. Picked the up from a friend, who thought he was going to bomb his whole car, then didn't.

I don't want to go any bigger on rims. Which makes finding 16-17" rims a little difficult with the 5X105. I'll figure something out on the wheels.

For tint, it's at 35% now. I can go to 28% in the front, and 15% in the sides and rear. But that's low on my to-do list.

Brake calipers will be yellow.
Been playing around with the idea of getting some lowering springs that drop just over 2".

As much a GM fan as I am, I do not like this much more than a scorching case of herpes. Secondly, I'm from GA, and have a doublewide with chrome wheels. I plan to lower it soon.

dumped trailers are the ****.

Oh yea... BAM!

YAY Thread Derail!!!

Little bit of a tiny update... MOAR FENDER STRIPE. I took the orange ones off, and honestly couldn't stand the loss in HP...made the car feel so sluggish...I really do like the new ones.

Spent about 5 hours cleaning the car, and it came out amazing.

The next day, my father and I went up to NC/TN area to see how well the car handled. We ran the Dragon 3 times each way, Moonshiner 28, the Cherohala Skyway, and a few other roads in the area. Car handles great. Little bit of body roll, but the drop will take care of that. Even pushing the car fairly hard, never had the tires complain, and never felt any slip at all.

Though on a side note, hitting the gravity cavity at 40mph is NOT advisable. (insane off camber dip/turn on the Dragon)

Few pics I snapped.

I parrmiss that there is tint on there. NC state legal tint though...Not FL super dark.

One day the tint will come off and will go back on.

Basically love everything but the wheels.

Wheeeeels. I've driven the sedan with the auto and the 1.8L. Honestly it was pretty decent, and knowing that, I'm pretty sure I'd love to have the 1.4L T w/ a manual.... in a hatch of course.

Greensboro is what, about 4 hours from the dragon? (Sister went to UNCG, been there plenty of times)

I try and go up at least twice a year. Each time I'll head off on different roads (single lane, county roads, etc)

I've got plans for the wheels, just need time to actually do them.

for some reason i like this car. when are you going low? will we see coilovers or are you going with springs?

So, the Sonic is gone, I'll toss some of the last pics up sometime. The transmission was having problems going into 2nd gear anytime above 4k rpms, and the dealer wouldn't warranty it after having it in the shop for the same thing 3 different times.

So I posted it online, and sold it yesterday.

Going to go look at a few cars today before class, 2 of which are GTP's....so I may be back amongst you assholes again.
