it would work better if you put the maf on the return side of the intercooler though.. the whole system could be built to work pretty good I bet, but its just not worth the effort really.

The best solution would be to run a ebay w/a intercooler core in place of the giant front mount. You could go with 6x more w/a intercooler without heat soaking issues introduced by strapping the stg2 ICs onto the hot motor.
 
Like DH said, if you could put the mad close to the intake on the return side of the if, I don't see why it wouldn't work. But, that's easier said than done.
