the australian guys have had major tuning issues with those until they started to run without a MAF (speed density).

a water to air intercooler core is going to be way more beneficial since you can cool the air to a much higher degree.
 
Straps between blower and manifold. Always wanted a air to air like the thunderbird buys have

Any body in the states running one of these Aussie intercooler plates? My uncle own a major fabrication and customs shop in Perth. Thinking I could get one fabbed for cheap. More benefits than w2a because no heat soak. Anybody have any input or if there is one being sold in the states?

i under stand where it goes,,how does air flow through it to cool the air from the ata core? is there a fan in the tubing or something?
 
No it flow out to outlet through a front mounted intercooler back into the inlet side. It's similar to a turbo ground mount setup. Discharged out the front of the core, gets cooled by flowing through the intercooler where crossairlflow cools the charge then flows back into manifold where it's used

but what makes the air flow to and from the core to the cooler core? i know how a turbo works, this aint the same at all.

your missing my point here. how does the cool air from the core on the bumper and get into the core on the manifold? what compels the air to move?

a turbo would push the air and pressurize it in the cooler on the bumper and then to the tb.

so how does the air move?
 
The pressurized air from the supercharger propels all the air from the core through the intercooler, out the intercooler and into the inlet side of the same core which then flows in to manifold then into each cylinder, the process is all the same between supercharger and turbo, I'd you look at the link there is then outlet coming from the the front where the supercharger Pressure would be flowing, then to the intercooler and back into the back side of the core where it goes into the manifold to be used

ok so the blower moves the air, sounds like a pasisidic power loss to me.

im not a fan, not at 1100 for just that intake core part. then theres the rest of the plumbing and the other core. a wta ic set up costs less and its proven to work well.

looks pretty complicated and inefficient for no reason. It takes a lot to heat soak a properly setup a2w plus I pieced mine together for less than $700. Multiple back to back WOT pulls to 140 with my 2.7" and my IC coolant will be 70-80*. hdnseek, when you start having problems with heat soaking your A2W (likely in the 2.50"+ 5% OD range) then I would worry about upgrading. Personally at that power level and point I wouldnt be worrying about upgrading from an A2W to a A2A, I would be worrying about upgrading from a M90 to a T-70.
 
A2A's don't work on these cars, because we don't have an easy way to switch to speed density. We are stuck with W2A.
