• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

M90 5th Gen Whine?

when the windows are down and my gen v screams at 6k rpm, it hurts my ears. but i like it. the sound difference between the 2 is definatly noticable

If you look at the outlet side and compare silencer ports they are about half the size on the gen V... I'll have to snap some pics tomorrow if I remember. And I thought I was the only one to open the moon roof and floor it when I go under a bridge???

or on the right side of a semi :th_peaceout:

I welded the ports closed on my Gen V...I'll report back on the noise level with a 3.0 pulley when I get everything installed.

If you changed the pulley size or intake then the test is invalid :).

Would have been nice to see numbers with an SPL meter though.

a Gen 3 with 3.2 wasn't comparable to the Gen V with 3.4 (aka the vid sizing). When I was done with heads, rockers, cam, and all the other stuff, I was running around on the street with a Gen V 2.9.

It's impressive ... I revved at a guy one day at a light. Got a call moments later from friends within a half a mile. Yes, they heard it and knew who it was. :th_peaceout:

Omg...I can't wait to do my gen v swap now.
