• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

LT1... Rofl

To be fair its not really a LT1 anymore when you bore/stroke/cam and other bolt-ons. Thats like saying 02-WS6-TA is rollin around with a LS1 under the hood.
It is an LS1. :)

To be fair, you are correct, STOCK was technically never said.

Buuuuuuuut, "It is an LS1" isn't technically a correct statement regarding the Dirty Bird in is current configuration. Bigger displacement usually comes via boring/stroking and we know its cammed, so you upgrade intake, heads, pistons, rods, cams, and several other parts and still call it a LS1 despite the fact that the only LS1 part still left making up the motor is the block. It isn't a 5.7L displacement motor anymore, makes about 5xs the power but lets race this "LS1" against a LS9 (suposedly a superior motor in all aspects) in the 1/4 and see who is mad at the end of the race.

That is my point, you can call it a LS1 but its not, use to be but its not anymore. You can bore and stroke a 5.7 to a 427 but you won't still call it a LS1 unless you are trying to hide it. Same with my original statement saying you don't call a 383 stroke a LT1 anymore, its a 383 stroker motor.

The cake is a lie!

I don't see why its not a ls1 anymore than a 408 isn't a windsor. No need to disclose everything.

There is a local lt1 that runs 10.60s. Cool car.
