LS1 Throttle body

maybe its not the tb. could be the timing delay thats set in the pcm before it goes wot or pe mode. i took mine out so its more instant going wot!
 


Yeah, the slower throttle response on a throttle-by-wire car is probably controlled by a gain value, or table of dependent values, somewhere in the PCM.

Not sure if any tuning packages out there (not just for the 3800, but in general) have provisions to control something like that. The components should be more than capable enough to open just as fast as a traditional TB, but the tuning precludes it. Helps to prevent burst knock, and increase fuel mileage, because less acceleration enrichment is required.
 
Sorry to bump an old thread but i was wondering if any of you that have done this remember if the limiter piece was able to come off too?

this is the piece im talking about, or was this welded to the shaft?
