Ls1 intake swap

Hi, im getting some conflicting information in regards to the swap and I want to be sure before I dive into it. I purchased a setup from a guy and he said it's plug and play. But I was reading somewhere that I needed to keep the DoD valley tray and modify it just even if I have DoD tuned out. This setup came with the ls1 intake ready to go, and a valley tray with the opsu angled. My question is, can I use this tray? Or do I need to get my original valley tray modified? Thanks

You will ABSOLUTELY have to modify your stock valley tray. If you use that one with your stock internals you'll end up with big problems.

Hey guys, so my next question is can I buy any gm v8 valley cover with DoD? Or does it need to be from a 08 5.3? The ones I see online for sale don't look like the pics shown in the write up... I just want to be sure before I purchase. Thanks

Any year dod works any truck with dod or g8 with dod. Just not newer than 2014 lol... Also do not pay more than 50 for one

This is the one I was looking at. Is this the right one? It's listed as LS3 L76 L92 GM 5.3 5.7 6.0 6.2 intake Valley cover w/DoD

Just got my valley tray in the mail. This connector was broken upon delivery. Will this be a issue? Thanks

Question, why couldn't he use that tray in his first post?
cause he still has stock dod lifters...if he were to go full out non dod cam lifters etc then he could use that cover.

Even with the dod being turned off in the tune you still can't use that cover till you delete dod mechanically
