lowering springs

ok ive been looking to lower my car its an 04+. i dont really have the money to buy new struts but was wondering if i could get away with just the SSC springs on stock struts? thanks in advance

they will work, but they will blow out a lot faster than struts made for lowering. i would save up a few extra hundred dollars and get struts at the same time too.

how many miles do you have?

car has 72k on it. there isnt really any struts for my body style so i would be left with the AGX but then i have to do the 97-03 control arms and sway bar end links and thats even more money that i dont have

i was on w-body store and is says at the bottom of the page of the AGX struts that thats what you have to do if you wanna use them on my body style

Thats correct, for the front struts to be changed out you need the older lower control arms. You could always do what I did and just get the rear AGX struts for now and when you have the money for the control arms and front struts get them.

ya but if im gunna do i want to do it all at once and correcy not half a$$ it. nothing againt the way you did your. it looks great done get me wrong but im just that way to do it right and all at once so i dont have to mess with it again. so i guess it time to start saving from here on out. thanks again

yea i priced everything on one of the sites and for a full suspension..... springs, struts, sway bars, strut braces, dog bones, lower control arms, poly motor and trans mounts, and the pogo elimanators comes out to around $1600 so next week i should have the money and then its christmas time... i aint doing this car like i did my camaro

and if you're talking to me, I only have minimal vibration and its under heavy acceleration. I've got shorter dog bones, but I still need to get poly mounts.

yea i should be... this car has to be ready when it gets nice out up here in ohio... and i aint doing it the cheap way or taking any shortcuts... i drive hard and the suspension is a huge priority this will be the first year i have drove a front wheel drive car in my life.... so its not going to be easy to get it in my area of liking
