lowering question

i have a set of new KYB GR-2 strut/spring combo, the ones that come loaded ready to go on my car right now and i was wondering if i could run zzp or other brands lowering springs on those struts or if that hole idea would just end badly?

i was just considering it i like the ride but the height really looks bad lol i keep getting mixed opinions about weather or not i need engine/trans mount spacers though

FFDP: would i need new strut mounts mine are new but there not for lowering springs i dont know if that matters or not id for sure fun anti pogo washers

i installed eibachs on gr2's/exel g and i dont need the spacers......yet. alot of ppl do though, to avoid vibrations

Mounts dont matter, just new (newish ones) are best. Anti pogo washer are a must IMO.

And the vibration are from being on the gas, some get it on hard accel. and some just at certain speeds while on the gas. Thats why some motor mount spacers will raise the axles back up to factor height ( very close anyway) and get rid of the problem.

i have raced a couple friends form stop lights and haven't got any vibrations. and i've been up to 110mph and no vibrations.

now watch me get them tomorrow just for making this post haha

i agree with you completely dude i will get anti pogo washers but i already have axle vibrations lol i guess its just a wait and see thing

thanks guys i think im gonna get some anti pogo washers and lowering springs to mount on my new struts in the springs

just out of curiosity how bad could these vibrations be? like violently shaking the wheel? or just the little vibrations i have now?

i have the eibachs and dude, your gonna see stock bmw's with the same amount of wheel gap. i wouldnt say it's too much of a drop at all

i haven't installed any spacers yet. and so far no vibrations. the general consensus seems to be that you install the springs/struts first. if you have vibrations than install the spacers. also make sure to get the anti pogo washers. i got then from zzp for $25. you could also use subframe washers i believe
