• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Lowering my car

i know i know. i remember you said that...

ughhhh

i'm such a sissy sometimes lol...

you said heatgun + rubber mallet. right?

yes. work your way around the fender, little by little. figure out how hard you need to hit it and feel it out before you go at it like a maniac.

i rolled my old grand prix and my subaru with just a hammer and a heat gun. the roller is overrated when you want really flat, super rolled, not pulled fenders.

i think if i just get rid of the seem, the bullits wont rub, and i'll be happy.

*once i properly hang the exhaust. aka figure out why it sags sooooo much.

if getting rid of the seam involves cutting, just stop before you start. unless you want all your fenders to rust out.

*poor choice of words, rather.

just the lip on the inner side of the fender i need gone, then hopefully the wheel will tuck and everything will be right in the world

I have gr2's and ssc's 35k on them and about 4 years later it rides like a slamed civic, struts are completly shot. If u want ur car to ride like chit go ahead. The car rode a little bouncy for the first 10k then just more progresivly turned to chit, its un-bareable now. Just ordered kyb strut-plus for a nice smooth ride

As far as rolling u could also carefully use a grinder and touch up paint. A bunch of guys on the gto forum did it that way, way less chance of buckling the metal/paint around the wheel well.
