Lowering my car

Hey, i have a few questions after i read and did all my searching. I have KYB AGX struts part num. 734059 and 734058. also i have eibach springs. what will my lowering should be? also do i need new camber bolts or can i stick with the stock ones? Am i missing anything else?

BTW i did get anti pogo washers.

That's going to be a stiff ride, they eibachs are the stiffest of the springs and the agx struts are pretty stuff themselves. I just changed to the gr2s from the agx and oh man it's like a stock strut again. But the roads are pretty crappy around here.

You will need the camber bolts of front definitely and most likely for the backs too. It's a good idea to get strut mounts too, they run about $25 each. And the dust boots on the struts unless your old ones are still in good shape.

Vogtland are the softests, ssc are a good in the middle springs and personally I think they give the car the best stance. You could get away with the Monroes on eibachs but there life won't last as long.

Pardon my ignorance, what are camber bolts? Would I need them with DNA springs?

camber bolts allow you to adjust camber back within stock spec when you lower your car. lowering the car gives the car more natural negative camber. this causes uneven tire wear and funny handling characteristics.

they are a bolt with a lobe on it so that when turned it allows you to adjust (usually) between plus or minus 1.75 degrees of camber.

the alignment shop is either gonna use camber bolts or slot your struts if it isnt within spec when they try and align it.

and you can align it yourself, youll just never get it anywhere near as good as you would with a laser alignment rack that the shop has.

i ran eibachs on GR2s.

dont be a wuss. the springs are underdamped with them so its slightly bouncy and rough. get over it.

i'm just going off the sheer fact that i cant have anyone in my backseat anymore.. at all.

between the width of the bullits and the softness of the gr2's i'm beat till i order AGX's

the struts only purpose is to stop the springs from bouncing. if you're rubbing in the back its because the springs are too soft. has NOTHING to do with the struts. literally zero.

i'm soooo afraid to do them myself.. i was just going to get the bodyshop to do it for me

Do it up man. Either way you can't be rubbing all over the place. I'd be pissed if I was screwing my tires, rubbing. I can jam 5 people in my car, plus luggage and my sub box, and not rub. Dat proper offset, get at me!

once you do one fender, you'll be like "why didn't i just do this earlier?"

it's that easy. just use lots of heat. keep them fenders HOT.
