low oil pressue

got the guy down to $850, im just super happy it comes with the s/c, alt, coils, a/c compressor, and im hoping starter

Damn man, that sucks. I hope you can get that swapped out fairly easily. Must have had a bad rod bearing or something of the sort for that to have given up with that kind of mess.

Edit: 1000 post *****es!!!!

Its a little unusual to have that amount of oil, EVERYWHERE. I would be more apt to think you had a cooler line let go or something...that's a lot of oil for a blown up motor.

We have blown a couple motors in our Monte Race Car (worked over 350) Split the crank and threw 3 rods through the block, and had no where near that much oil everywhere...

Let us know what you find..

Im selling the motor with the gen5 to a friend of mine here in my town, hes gonna put the gen5 in his 02 gtp and sell off the rest in parts, hes getting a good deal on them since hes gonna give me a hand dropping the new motor in! should have my car back on the road within a week or so,

For now im driving a 01 mercury cougar with the c2 package, i just got a new motor and trans put into it, i bought it with a blow head gasket and it was sipping in reverse found a super low miles motor and trans combo for $250 and paid a guy to drop them in

today i took a 9 hour round trip to Minneapolis and picked up the motor as well as some super nice leather seats from the same car (i already had some leather but these are awesome and i had someone that wanted to buy mine)
anyway the the car officially had 4,839 miles on it, the motor came complete from s/c to oil pan, came with alternator, p/s pump, a/c compressor, starter, coils, the electronic throttle body, 02 sensors.. pretty much everything but the mass air flow sensor lol! all with the same 4,839 miles!!!
the guy couldn't get the electrical system to work right so he gave me the speedo cluster and the DIC (or whatever its called) to me so i could put it in my car and see proof of miles
also for an extra 10 bucks i got the chrome steering wheel things with radio controls as well as all the chrome rings that go around the vents!
heres so pics of the goodies

anyway tomorrow im going to be cleaning up and swapping out the seats and Thursday Friday and Saturday ill be getting the engine swapped

also im thinking of painting my s/c black, the valve covers are already black but idk ideas and if you can add links/pics of what you did to your engine bay i would be thankful

update!

yesterday i gave the car a bath and degreased the engine bay in preps for the swap

tonight me and a friend put in a few our under the hood, shes close to coming out, we did however see the pcv tube in the lim was full of oil and concluded the valve failed causing pressure to build up in the crank case then blow the oil out the dip stick tube and all over the engine bay, whether there was some other reason causing exsisve pressure to enter the crank case i dont know but once we get the heads pff ad get a look at the pistons i will take a close look to see if there might be a damaged rim causing it

its kinda hard to see in the before pic but the lower intake has a puddle of oil in it, its bad!

plans for tomorrow are to run into town and get the 3.4 inch pulley pulled off the old s/c and the stock one put on so i can give it to the buyer, then get the stock pully off the new s/c and get it cleaned up to get some flat black paint on it, i also plan on haveing a guy that knows what hes doing dissemble my alternator so i can get the case painted flat black like the s/c
then back home to yank that motor out and hope to drop the new one in and get it mostly bolted up and wait for the painted item to finish in the next few days!

i plan on replacing the s/c gasket exhaust gaskets and maybe valve cover gaskets, autolight 104s and a 180temp t-stat for now

thanks man, the hood has a slight defect that drives me crazy so i might be going by by, you can see it in the picture, on the drivers side near the front corner the fiberglass curves up a bit then back down so it looks like your hood is popped

well since i have the new motor sitting safely in my garage is it ok to say my engine went out with a bang?
