Low Beam issue

Hello Everyone!

I'm having an issue with my car and am looking for a little assistance! my passenger side low beam is not working. the low beam works on the drivers side but not the passenger side. The high beams work on both lights. I replaced the bulb with brand new ones but am still having issues. I checked the fuse for the headlights and it checked good. Is there a separate fuse for each low beam? what should i check next? I have a 98 GTP

Thank You for your help,
Steve

So i swapped the driver side and passenger side assemblies and it worked. It is in my headlight assembly. If it possible to remake the connectors for the headlights? or will i have to buy a while wiring harness?

check for any corrosion on the contacts in the socket. and a bit of di electrical grease can help too.

if the socket is clean test for power. you can do this with a 2 dollar 12 volt test light.

also check the wires to the socket, a broken or cracked wire can make it fail to work as well.

I had a problem like this on my 99 GTP and I was cursing it for a while because everytime I went to touch the light to fix it, it would come back on again it would work for a while until it decided to die again. It ended up being a nick in the wire about 1 foot back from the headlight connector. The nick ended up corroding to the point of on a spot of rust making the connection. After fixing the wire, no more problems.:th_winking:
