Love my Grand Prix but need Help

Hi my name is Ruthann and I live in Kentucky. This is my second Grand Prix and I loved the first one so much I bought another one later on.

I have a 2003 Grand Prix and when I start the engine there is a loud humming sound that stays on the entire time. In fact if the car is off and I just turn the key either way but not far enough so that it will start it comes on and stays on. I am afraid to drive it right now.

Has anyone ever had this happen or have any idea what it might be. I am single and on limited income.

Hmm, video? It might just be the power steering pump whining, mine does that.

It makes the noise without the engine running? Sounds kinda like the blower motor.

I also think it's more than likely the blower motor since it happens when the car is off. It could even be a speaker issue with how it's described.
