i have a 97 pontiac gran prix with a 144,000 miles. i had new struts put on at 100,000 miles. now at 144,000 there is a loud boom every now and then from the front end suspension. i put new strut mounts on and it made no change. all the bushings in the a frames look ok. and the car doesent trac to the left or right either and i dont feel anything in the steering wheel. i just spent $65 to find out that it isnt the strut mounts. what are the other possibilities?

yes all those look ok. im thinking it may be my axle joint going bad. because it seems to do it in turns.

Umm. the aftermarket ones are garbage.

OE are the best stock ones you can get.

Note all the performance ones are OE axles that have been upgraded.

I just picked up a GSP one, hope it isn't crappy....guess we will find out..Lifetime warranty so I would imagine it has to be decent

my boss had a Z34.

Headwork and some other minor things.

When his axles went, he bought the ones from work which have a lifetime warranty.

The car shat axles like it was its duty.

Could be the swaybar right at the end where it is squished flat it could be broken, get the gmpp bar from gm
