either tomorrow or the next day i will get a video with my ipod...but, nevertheless...my exhaust is very crackly...

i am pretty sure it wasnt like this before, when i rev it to maybe 3k and listen to it and let off it crackles...a lot like my dads camaro, but not nearly as aggressive...
my dad said something might out of time
i thought it might have to do with the crappy oil i have in my car atm

any ideas? ill make sure to get a video, idk if the sound will be amazing on my ipod though...ill make sure you can hear the crackling good

Oil wont make your exhaust crackle. If it does you have serious problems.

Definitely need a better description. It could be something as simple as an exhaust leak.

it is sort of a backfire yes...

i was just throwing something out there with the oil lol...idk about exhaust...and yeah, im hoping its just an exhaust leak and not a needed retune

well..ill go get a video so you guys can tell exactly what it is...i gotta make a cardboard stand for my ipod haha...

EDIT: i got the video...and constructed my awesome ipod holder hahaha...the video doesnt show it very good, it isnt doing it as loudly as it has been before...it is kinda hard to notice in the video, but it isnt very hard to notice my license plate number...so yeah, idk if im going to work up the gumption to take another...or just risk giving creepers my license plate number lol

i seriously have no idea what my exhaust consists of...i am pretty sure its stock...and no, i had the car in neutral...not park, im not dumb lol

note i never said it mattered what the shifter was in.

if it isn't moving, the limiter is 4000.

even then, if you rev'd it to the rev limiter, it'd still make the same noise.

When the PCM tries to control the engine speed it randomly pulls fuel and spark resulting in the noise you hear.

ok lol...i will stop, but it doesnt just crackle when i do that, when i am going about 40 and i put it to the floor for a couple seconds...then let off...it crackles like crazy, i know this because my brother was walking on the sidewalk type kinda bike trail and i did that, and he said it crackled a lot
