lost mpg

plz help overnite i noticed a loss of 8 mpg in my 2000 grand prix..had an oil change that was due and had tire psi checked...did not help at all... angie

Do a tune up.

New plugs, wires, try some fuel system cleaner, new fuel filter. If those dont help maybe try a new 02 sensor.

Check for a vacuum leak.

thank you for the advice...wasnt sure where to start...a woman taking a car to a shop when she doesnt know what shes talking about is just asking for trouble...changed air filter gained back about half of what i had lost..so i am going to do fuel filter next...i also went and put some non-ethenol gas in it and also gained about 5 mpg in the city..thank you for answering...angie
