I currently own a 2004 Grand Prix GT with the 3800 series 3 engine, unfortunately the engine has seen better days. In my process of trying to locate a good used engine I was told that only 2004 is direct fit and if I found a different year or make I would have to change out a bunch of exterior engine parts. I really don't wanna take that option if I don't have to. Some good advise to enlighten me on this would be nice. I just need to know what year and models will fit directly into my 2004. Any help would be appreciated.
