Looking to sell Grand Prix or sell for scrap, any advice here?

My 1997 Grand Prix lost oil due to a faulty oil filter gasket from an old stock Rock Auto buy on AC Delco filter. I did not trade in the car when I bought my Impala because the engine knocked and figured they wouldn't take it and I wasn't going to risk driving it anywhere that I had to be on the freeway.

Go to new a few months later trying to decide whether to keep it and put in another engine or sell it. Been trying to sell it online CraigsList and eBay but no bites yet and lowering the price as I relist and others.

I could have the car picked up for scrap but if I take parts out will that reduce the value? The only place I asked said they would take it for $200 as they were going to scrap it. I have a 2002 as well so I could use parts from it. So if I go that route, should I remove all I can and then let them pick up when is left for scrap?

Yeah, I would... Where are you located? I'd be surprised if your couldn't get several hundred by selling parts off it yourself, then calling pick'n'pull to haul away the carcass after if's been picked over.

Houston Texas and probably the best thing. I had someone push buy it on eBay but I think was scammer. Hmm yeah like I am going to ship a car easily

The body of this car in question is a hard find to come across body wise and condition. If u wernt so far i woulda bought this car in a heartbeat just to drop my engine into it instead of having to do the body conversion like I'm doing now. I'm still interested in the fenders like I said in your other post if u did end up parting out. I havnt been on this site very long but I've see way too many people send perfectly good grand prixs to the scrap yard and just get destroyed in the process making it one less car that could have been easily turned around and back on the road again.....its a sad thing......
