• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Looking for Painting Tips

What products are you using? Check the tech data sheet online for the specific product, the info should be there. The only thing you would not sand is a wet-on-wet urethane sealer designed for application with urethane basecoat color.

Generally speaking, in my opinion-

If spray can painting, 600-800 wet.

If using a catalyzed urethane primer-surfacer followed by catalyzed urethane sealer, 320 dry or 400 wet. Use a red scuff pad where you can't sand.

If spraying basecoat refinish paint directly over sanded primer-surfacer, 500-600 dry or 600-800 wet. Use a grey scuff pad where you can't sand.
