• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

looking for opinions.

Thanks man. Honestly I like it a lot. I'll have to get ahold of a good extra hood so I don't ruin mine lol. I'd like to do it myself.

there's also a smaller version if you look at the site...that's the camaro ss scoop then there's the mini ss , which is 14 inches shorter

I thought it looked familiar. I could find it though. Hell I love the way it looks on the GP!

yeah it looks more "natural" on there than most others. like it was made for it...at least in my opinion.

I couldn't agree more man. I can't wait to get it

EHB you should do that scoop. It isn't that hard to mold that onto the hood.

i wouldn't even know where to begin. i'd have to find some good detailed videos and buy a junkyard hood to work on. i'll see how cvilla does first...lol

keep me posted cvilla with lots of work pics...lol

Lmao it'll be a while before I can do anything with it. I just moved in with my girl in an apartment and left behind a usable garage at my old house 😕 I'd really like to do it asap but I have to wait.

can you have it done by the end of august ? then maybe i'll try it in september if yours turns out good...:th_biggrin2:

There was a guy on here who had photo gallery with pics of how he did his, I can try to see if I can find it.
that'd be cool...like i said , i know nothing about it. what makes it stick on there ?
look for youtube vids cvilla and post em if you find a good one..i'll do the same

In my experience, bonding fiberglass to metal will ALWAYS eventually crack. Its just physics, no getting around that. The scoop stays on but there will be cracks one day. Just my two cents, I've got the know how to bond or weld them and have done both more than once. I was eyeballing a salvage hood today for the scoop area (metal), no idea what it was though. That Camaro style scoop looks pretty badass, I like it.

I was actually thinking...now bare with me, I love the flush finish look for this scoop...but. I was actually wondering if placing steel runners on the scoop itself would be a stronger bond. Kinda like molding them around the scoop and then riveting to the hood itself.
