• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Looking for opinions.

93-97 Trans Am had the Lt1.

98-02 Trans Am had the Ls1.

Firebird is the v6 model, Firebird Formula is the v6 body with a v8. Those are ugly, dont get one.

Both model trans am are awesome looking cars and can look very stylish and aggressive, but the 98+ is the best looking T/A hands down.

The Lt1 isnt a bad motor to DD and can be modified, plus it has a better exhaust note but the Ls1 will always be the better motor.

Lt1 - 5.7L v8, 275hp, 325 lb-ft, 1/4 in 14.1

Ls1 - 5.7L v8, 305hp, 335 lb-ft. 1/4 Mid-13s

You can get an Lt1 T/A for very cheap, i've seen them in my area for as low as $3,000+

The Ls1 engine is the better engine choice in the long run, but you'll pay for it. Trans Am Ls1 in my area go for roughly $8,000+ (Estimate)

I would personally drive either body style but the 98+ still have the edge for sure.

What it really comes down too, is how much your willing to spend and whats in your wallet.

But if you have the money, Ls1 > Lt1

You can always do a front clip and ls1 swap in the future, but unless you get the stuff for cheep it would cost you more in the long run to do it that way.

anything that says ws6 or ws6
lsx is the way to go if you want a huge aftermarket
trans am if you want the best
or you could change it up and get a catfish z28

if you plan on modding don't get a firehawk
the purists will murder you for any mod whatsoever
