• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Look good or go fast

I would do a mix of both.

Performance wise I would do just bolt ons as those generally make power by making the engine more efficient. This will add power or MPG depending on the accelerator position.

I would go with looks. Seems to me any time i have made engine mods on any cars (and I've had a lot) it speeds up the break down factor, looks don't. And at 17 you will impress more gals with looks than speed.

At 17? Looks, unless you can afford to fix it when it breaks and won't piss off your parents. Otherwise, my suggestion is to get another vehicle and then figure out which one you want to make "fast". Have your cake and eat it too so to speak, one for show and one for go.

I got my GP at 18 after 2 other cars and I'm almost 21 now. I spent my first couple years just making it look good. Then got rear ended on my way home from class one night because obviously no one knows how to drive in a college town. After that I said F it and bought go quick parts. Do whatever you feel is fit but be prepared to fix things. I haven't had a catastrophic failure yet and I'm almost at 170k. Just have fun with it man. Atleast get an intake and a canned tune. Then you'll forget about wanting a 11 second car.

Fast, cheap, reliable. Pick 2. Because you'll never have all 3.

Learn from my mistake. Leave your factory mufflers on. Get a 3" DP and call that good unless you plan on doing headers. Nothing can make these cars sound good. Blower whine>Sh!tty exhaust

people that can't install them/think on the fly.

however, they are kinda ****ty fitment in comparison to stock manifolds and crossover.

FWIW, I haven't had a set of SD's leak yet. Follow the BillBoost how to guides and you'll hardly ever go wrong. If you do go wrong, you strayed from the directions..

Not really going to have the money for anything after whatever happens next. Whether I sell the car or decide to get it fixed.
