• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Longtime Lurker

Like I said most guys go with clamps lol and Scotty makes a valid point about easily replacing parts if they do rust out. if you make yourself a nice exhaust, use band clamps. seriously.

the only thing you need to weld is the hangers on the pipes, and the mufflers. you can even clamp on the exhaust tips if you like.

Cool thanks you guys. I wasn't aware you could use band clamps like that. I think i will be piecing together my exhaust instead of buying one from a vendor. Also, i am going to be putting on the SD headers soon.. I know that i need a tune to get the most out of them. But if i don't get a tune for a while after installing them will it be ok? Or will i chip a piston?

I have no way to monitor for knock yet.. So do u guys think it would be safe to run a 3.6 pulley? Mods would be SD headers, new trans and motor mount, autolite 605s, DIY intake... and stock tune.

get a torque app if you got a droid phone. the app is 5 bucks, the blue tooth obd2 port thing is like 12 bucks shipped. works damn good for checking KR. as well as all the other live data it can read.

the plugs, just get al 104's. shift kit is always nice to have.

its nice to see how much KR you have stock, then check again after the header install. should be zero after headers.

Alright maybe ill look into the torque app... But i wanted to get an aeroforce for christmas and also throw a wideband o2 on the car sometime.. After doing the headers would it be a good time to upgrade injectors? Or is there no need

no need. unless yo go inter cooled, and a real small pulley, or go e85 and a small pulley. then you need to do some tuning for sure.

in on a 1.96 rocker, 3.4, header set up. everything else is stock. but i knock like crazy. and im tuned. so i got other issues.

Can you solder wires? if yes. cut the plug to the o2 sensor off the cars harness, add 3 feet of wire to it. then run the wire down the pass side strut tower to the sub frame then to the o2 sensor. or its gonna melt on the rear manifold.

ive since relocated my o2 sensor because it was hitting the fire wall after a few beating sessions still.
