so on my drive from ft stewart ga to ft leonard wood mo i got 3 good races in.
race 1 just south east of atlanta on i75. i was moving through traffic a little bit and saw a nice looking civic coupe 08ish model. looked like it was modded quite well as far as suspension and brakes. i kinda gassed it a little to get around a truck and was back down to 65 mph. next thing i know the civic is so close to my ass i can only see his windshield. so i move over and he goes flying by so i return the favor only not so close. he then uses what sounded like a 2 step launch control. he wasnt moving but he was smacking the rev limiter and blowing some nice fireballs. so i figure he's tuned. he goes, i go. no contest.
next was on i20 in alabama somewhere. i was running 65 there as well and a nice looking genesis 3.8 track come by me pretty quick. it looked bone stock. i matched his speed at about 80 then we both gassed it. he pulled about 3 lengths on me off the bat until about 120 then i started reeling him in. after i got about half the distance back he hit the brakes. we did that about 3 times.
race 3 was near memphis. a ram srt10 single cab, lowered, nice sounding exhaust. i was going by him at about 45 and he kinda goosed it to get my attention. 3 honks by him and we were off. he pulled out 1 length and i hung there all the way up to 110. i started to pull him back in and we had to slow down.
so i won 1 and lost 2.
