I was cruising home from a local car meet, doing 60mph, minding my own business jamming to some Jimi Hendrix. Windows down, sunroof open and enjoying the 85ish degree weather. It was a nice relief from the 100+ temps we have had all summer long.
Next thing I know there's a lowered black 90's civic hatchback with low rumbling exhaust cruising next to me. He had a fairly good looking chick riding shotgun with him. He looks over, says something to her, looks back at me and chuckles. I'm sure at this point he's thinking I'm just driving another Grand Prix that was lowered, loud exhaust, and heavy wheels. I know where this is going; he's gonna try to impress his hot little girlfriend with his uber cool race car civic.
He gives it hell and let's it rip. His low toned 4 cylinder exhaust is quickly lost to the sound of my turbo spooling. He's front end gets past my bumper, he's smirking and proud that his Civic is beating a Grand Prix, impressing his girlfriend. The smile on his face quickly turns to his jaw dropping with the best WTF look I have ever seen. I pull past him like he was doing 20mph. I get about 4 bus lengths ahead and slow down. Finally, he catches up and yells "I'm naturally aspirated." I guess I was supposed to give a **** seeing how he was just embrassed in front of his girl and he came picking on me. I yelled back, "Guess you picked on the wrong car to impress your girl. Thanks for reminding me again how piss slow naturally aspirated Civics are though."
He proceeded to exit and that was that. Turned Hendrix back up and cruised on home.
