so im coming home from work doing about 70 and im passes cars and just want to get home cus ive had a long day and im tired. So i pass this pt cruiser and get in the slow lane he i see in my rear view he guns it and passes me and gets in front of me so i pull on the left side of him and he starts reving his car back and forth so i laugh and he guns it i give him about 2-3 car lengths when i jump on it from about 70-80 and pass him going about 120

lol i meen really a pt cruiser trying to show up a gtp lol some teenage kid probly in parents car thinking hes kool
 


same base engine as the srt 4 without the turbo which made what?? 150 hp i think?? lol thats even less than my SE...plus bring in the weight factor, so regardless if turbo or not it still would have lost to a stock gtp.

Well thats good to know, some kid wanted to race me in his modded pt cruiser the other day. I had my girlfriend with me so I thought better of it. But its good to know the outcome. His wasnt turbo, Ive never done research to see how slow they really are. So thank you for saving me gas and good kill OP :)
 


I thought they were rated at 230 or something. Either way, it's still one of the ugliest cars ever produced imo.
 
just a guess but if you didn't pass him till 120mph then you only beat him by having a higher top end speed and not better acceleration
 


We had a guy bring his PT Cruiser into the shop for an alignment. Had a 9" stretch on the frame, a granny 4, and a blown 350, with a RWD conversion. It was bad.

My friend beat a PT cruiser by a lot at a red light in his 1998 Oldsmobile Regency (3800 N/A), and I was in the car when he did. I'm pretty sure a stock SE could beat one.
 


If it was a race to see who can have a personality disorder and poor taste they would have smoked you.
