Locked up rear wheel?

I had the car jacked up the other day and noticed that my rear passenger side wheel wouldn't spin freely. I sprayed the hell out of everything with WD40, but it still stuck - it's all I can do to grab the wheel and turn it at all. Is my bearing bad? Everything did look pretty rusty. I don't think it's the brakes, the car doesn't pull at all, but I really don't know

I'd say the brake caliper is sticking.

Or if you use your parking brake alot (which you should), it's not letting go all the way and still holding the brake pads up against the rotor.

I actually just used it for the first time about 3 weeks ago... I bet anything that's it. Any ideas on how to free it up?

Get a new one. I had to replace rear both sides. Once corrosion gets inside the sleeve they will keep sticking. Drivers side was completely frozen.

this is easy to figure out. jack the car up, take the wheel off.

then take the caliper off, see if you can spin the rotor now. if its still not turning take the rotor off, see if the hub now turns, if it still dont turn its the hub.

so its either the caliper, the e brakes hanging up for some reason or another , over adjusted, or the cables are messed up. or the hub is bad.

this is the only way to know whats really wrong. not worth tossing money at parts till you really know whats up.

Thanks, I'd much rather get it done right the first time! I'll give it a shot tomorrow, weather permitting of course! God, I hate Illinois weather
