little help

So I posted before about my tranny losing power around 35mph when it's cold. After the transmission is warmed up, it'll drive just fine. Now I realised when it's cold, I can up shift with the tapshift and it'll drive just fine. I just put it back into drive once I'm ready to set my cruise control. Do I need a rebuild or can I get away with solenoids and a shift kit? People have said rebuild and others have said a shift kit and solenoids. Anyone help? 2004 comp g.

Since you wanted to make a new thread...and I'm lazy, I'm not going back and looking what was mentioned before.

How does a trans lose power?

It will shift into 3rd and climb speed really really slow. Then, I can give it has and the rpms will go up but the car will still slowly climb speed. If I floor it, it will down shift and take off.

Gonna try that!! I don't care if it doesn't fix it completely, but at least better than it is. I would really like to wait till spring for a rebuild. Funds are tight right now considering I just bought it!
