Little help for car audio noob.

thats not so true, i have 2 jbl gto series 6x9's and 2 jbl gto series 4in in my rear deck and with my jvc head unit alone it sound like a 8in sub back there so,yes they do exist

List your home audio setup in a PM.

Rob, Tang Bang makes two 6x9 subwoofers.

Coaxial tweeters would be worse.

They'd always be blocked by someones legs.

No offense or anything but rockford is talked up. Truthfully there are better speakers and things. Your prolly paying more than you need to for great sound quality

their amps come with birth sheets....

Thats like testing the T/S specs of each driver you ship out the door.... If only every company did that...

Im not looking for ridiculous bass, something in the terms of original speakers. They had plenty of bass for my taste.

LOLOL bass is bass no matter how you look at it or even hear it!!

sounds like your gona kill the 6x9s to get the bassy from them..
a "proper" set-up (x over'd correctly) will have good mid bass....
but u NEED a sub to blend the sound correctly = SOUNDS VERY VERY GOOD!!

Okay, so i blew my speakers. Pretty much all of them. Im guessing one of the 6x9's has wiring problem, cuz it works sometimes, i blew the rest tho... So im swayed to get these:

Rockford Fosgate Prime R1693 for the rear deck and

Rockford Fosgate Prime R152-S for the front.

Now my questions:

Im keeping stock head unit, so im not getting an amp. Im guessing these should work ok as stock replacements, correct? (non bose coupe)

Now, i want to mount the separate tweeter where the old ones (keep oem look), anything i should know about doing that?

Also, about the speakers: Im looking for solid bass for the rear, and clear mids and high for the front. Dont want a subbbbb.

Any help appreciated. Thanks guys.

I actually did this to my car last weekend. I replaced both the front and rear speakers and kept the stock head unit. I did not install an amp. I honestly can say that the new speakers do sound better. It was not that big of a pain to do this and it only cost me $80. Let me know if you want any advice.
