Little detail repair help

Pontiac Racer

First issue is i have little rust spots. First one is under the driver door handle. I already put new door panel clips in so im not gonna take off the handle. Can i just use sandpaper on the exposed parts and paint them? Not using a grinder. Next is on the edges of the black door accenting like where the front and back door meet, the black section in the middle theres rust along the edges of that too. What shade of black would that be cause any ordinary black wont work. Next i cracked the bottom insert of my front bumper pulling out of a parking space. How would i fix that and what color is it so i could paint it. I think thats it for now

Black on an 01 is probably WA-8555 like mine. Duplicolor Universal Black is the spittin' image of it. If you have a small spot or chip like that, tape around it closely and stick a scrap of like 320 grit sandpaper to the tip of a pencil eraser. Spin that to sand the spot clean. A pocket screwdriver or pick tool is usually necessary for some detail scraping too. Chips and small breaks work best with a brush for me, so I can fill just the chip in. Don't try to do much blending out of a spot with the spray can. Thats do-able with finesse but on the side of the car it will be noticeable.

When I cracked the splitter on my GT, I drilled holes and put zip ties to keep it from shaking. A proper repair is pretty involved. Plastic welding and special bumper repair materials would be used, in addition to primer and paint. If you clean the backside and sand it real good, then take a patch of similar plastic and bond that to the back of the crack with the right adhesive, that can also work. But the splitter gets hit a LOT in life and bumper covers are cheap. If yours is busted bad keep your eye peeled for a black one that isn't hurt. I use car-part (dot com) for that, makes life easier.

Ok. I figured using high grit sand paper. And my cars silver so id have to paint the bumper or find one at the junk yard. Mine is cracked in a spot where behind is these "sections" i guess and you cant really get behind the crack that well. Ill look into a bumper at the junk yard cause painting is too expensive. Unless i get in a crash and get a new one but i wouldnt want that
