Why are you doggin gtp's on a gtp site? Is that not setting you're self up for failure? I mean it's not like you're going to come out ahead here or anything.

IDK...If i belonged to a 3800 forum but didn't actually own a 3800 then you could say pretty much anything you want about my car and me not say anythng back.


There are a lot of fast gtp's out there.Streetwolf is one of them.I'm about to go turbo and make right at 500 hp on pump gas.

What i'm trying to say is one day you will find one of us and you will FAIL at winning, Then you will simply....

You guys are blowing this way out of proportion. He was just simply asking why would someone want to buy a fwd family car and make it fast instead of the traditional rwd. Simple answer, to be different. He just bashed back when he got bashed on first. He has been on here awhile and I have had many great conversations with him in comparing our two cars and never once did he bash any gp.
 


It's all good man. No offense towards me. Just wanted to put out there that this guy is not bad. It's just that people read stuff differently and take it the wrong way. then when they say something about it, so does the next person and the next. I don't know, this is just m thoughts on it, hell, I could be looking at it the wrong way.

I'm done arguing. I didn't even intend to start an argument...just asked a simple question.

I bashed on your car b/c you guys bashed on mine just b/c its a acura. Funny thing is you could slap a Pontiac logo on it and give a different Vtec name and I know you guys wouldn't be bashing it since it is not a small V6 and outputs enough power for a fwd...just look at the cars I've beat. I'm not saying its a race car, but it's not slow or a ricer car.

IMO ricers are civics, integras, neons, cobalts, cavaliers/sunfires, escorts, saturns....theres alot of domestic rice. It's all what you do to your car and what potential it has. I consider most 4 cyclinders rice except for subaru's(depending on whats done), but you guys may consider them rice.

I was just fighting back. I actually really like GTP's. I wouldn't mind owning the newest body style...

i no im just sayin get the facts before u go sayin they dont make em manual. i like jap cars. ive owned a motor swapped miata and a 300zx. and my older brother has an s2000. my heart just lies with gm ive had an lt1 wagon and lowered s10 too.

But you have to think though, that the people that arren't into the Gp's like most of us are don't think about the older ones. I thought 97 was the first of the GTP's until I bout my gp and started doing some research. But I see what your saying though about knowing what car your talking about.
 


I don't know what year your talking about, but I am somewhat familiar with the older body styles. I was just assuming 97 and up. I haven't seen an older GTP then 97 in....can't remember. I don't know why they don't offer a manual. It's a shame. I wish my car was a manual, but **** atleast I had the option, but wasn't smart enough to wait for one. I bet GM could boost sales building a limited quantity of manual GTP's in a six speed....I'de be all over it if I wasn't locked into my current car loan

tap shift isn't manual....thats the same thing as triptronic like I've got....manual transmission use an independent manual tranny instead of intregrating paddle shifters into the auto tranny...meaning more power to the wheels and more fun!
