Some of you may remember me. I actually drive an 02 Acura CL-TypeS and became a member here b/c I raced two GTP's and like reading these stories;)

Kills:
94 Camaro Z28 LT1 a/t, with intake
Cobalt SS superchared, with exhaust(all i could see)
05 Grand Prix GTP Comp G supercharged, with exhaust(all I could see)
2000 Grand Prix GTP supercharged with smaller pulley, full 3" exhaust, intake, tune, and other minor stuff.
Celica GT w/intake
Mazda Protege MP3 w/intake/headers/straight pipe exhaust
Mazda Protege Speed turbo'd

Ties:
Audi TT 3.2 VR6 latest body style. I just had headers at that point though...

I'm running low 14's and pushing 225-230whp. I'm done with performance mods though unless I get a pulley set. Here are my mods:

CAI, Headers, Magnaflow 14832 mufflers, 05 TL wheels, 10" subwoofer, & painted calipers.

what made you put all that money into a regal and GTP? Why not get a rwd car with much more potential and dump money into that?
 
If I were asked the question above. I would say to be different and unique. GTP's and their counterparts don't make up as much of the car population as the Rear Wheel sports car world. And when you pull up in an unsuspected Prix, or Impalla, or Regal and smoke the doors off a Camaro, or Mustang, or vette even then it's a hell of a rush, and a worth the look on their face. Also for me, when I'm not racing or going fast I have a big a$$ car that has plenty of room for me, my bad knee, and my family and stuff. I could say more, but yeah... my kill list: Probably won't remember all, but I'll get the highlights.

Just got offered to race a guy with a Mustang GT 500...He just wants to see how he's doing, cuz he lost to a modded neon the other day and can't drive for crap so he want's a fun run.

i like big cars and i like pontiacs. i like big cars with HUD, 6disc, leather, heated seats, tapshift, nicccceeee stock rims, and a fat eaton supercharger from the factory. plus the styling trumps most cars in my price range.

It's an american made ACURA that puts out 260hp at the crank...the same or more then the GTP WITH a supercharger. The acura is more luxurious...don't kid yourself. It's more reliable. It's faster from roll...period. And it will win in a 1/4mile.

Altezzas lmao! I've seen more Grand Prixs with altezzas. I havent seen ONE CL with altezzas. If you haven't noticed this Acura has beaten two GTP's; one a CompG with just headers. lmao. You can call this car a ricer all you want, but it's not a 4 banger and will beat 90% of GTP's from a roll, dig, or 1/4. You may as well call imports ricers....350z/g35, skylines, 300zx tt, acura nsx, acura TL-s, etc.

Wow...I love how u guys start a fight over a simple question b/c I've got an import. I hate riced out civics and integras as much as you, but my car is far from that. Enjoy your pontiac while it lasts...they may not be around much longer. I hope they will...I actualy like the GTP and GTO.

X2. BTW...260 HP at the crank is probably about 200 @ the Wheels...MAYBE. But I guess with an intake, headers, and exhaust work you must be @ like 300 to the crank and 250 FWHP!!:th_laugh-lol3:

I'd just like to say that Acuras are PRODUCED in Japan, ASSEMBLED in the USA. Big difference there pal. It is a Honda just as much as a Lexus is a Toyota...sorry, but I would like to put down $100 that a bone stock GTP would walk crap over your car...unless VTAK kicked in @ like 9,001 RPMS and walked away:D Your car MIGHT touch 14's...I doubt it though.

Please just take your Acura to a CL forum and don't bother here. In closing...would you like chop sticks and soy sauce with THAT RICE?

I wish you lived near me...I'de bet you more then $100. They don't even make your car in manual...lmao. Get me some chop sticks and rice. Hell I'll eat your dog too with your weak sauce. The GTP engine is a POS. pretty sad a N/A 3.2 V6 puts out the same or more power without a s/c.

Yep, the 3.8 Buick engine is a huge POS, thats why it's been around since the 80's and is proven to be one of the most reliable engines ever built, up there along with 350's.


Oh, and I forgot to mention. I love the 'Little Tikes' paddle shifter your car has. Bet that makes you feel like a big boy since it gives you a false sense of pride thinking you can out shift my automatic with that don't ya?

GTO 6.0 with headers,bbk intake,CAI exhaust and tuned

some kind of turbo integra with an intercooler nearly outside of the front bumper...Don't ask.
