Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

LIM Woes

I'm just glad that its a problem that can be laughed off. Not bad for a first timer.

Gonna be pissed though if that Dorman LIM leaks.

I laughed at Scott on his motor swap..

He left the WP pulley loose because he doesn't know the trick to do it w/o the belt being on. Then it leaked cause he dinged up the seal and my personal favorite...he did the exhaust block off mod wrong. How you do it wrong... only I know...cause I guessed and he admitted to it.

so bust my balls? and i was only gone for 2 days. the seal, how am i supposed to install it so it dont break a new seal. the balancer dont touch the seal till its started to be put back on via its bolt.

the groove ill eat. the one turn more needed on the oil pressure sensor ill eat too. both only took 4 days longer to finish due to parts on order. i cant help parts not being in stock can i?

Got the Alternator on, oil changed, and coolant flushed. Car now runs and doesn't overheat, but is hesitant to start and is throwing a P1406 for the EGR valve.

I initially thought the rough idle was from PCM being without power and a new MAF sensor, but apparently not.

EGR need to be replaced, or just cleaned, or something else?

Removed a bunch of carbon out of the EGR with a tiny flat head and then drowned it in carb cleaner. Put it on with a new gasket and it purrs.

Coolant still has air in it despite bleeding. Pees the green every time I check. The reservoir seems to taking care of that slowly though.

Fill your reservoir like halfway up, just not to the point where it leaks from the top and you won't have to worry about the reservoir running dry.

I filled it to that mark this morning (2/3). After running a few errands today that level dropped to about (1/3). The low coolant light has stopped its on and off business, so I think its getting there. Its just spiking in temp and then rapidly falling. Not bad though. Peak temp is only 218 or so. I will monitor it and report if this is still ongoing after some more driving.

Also that dorman LIM isn't leaking at all on mine. 70% off on amazon seems to be legit.
