what should I do first? The lower intake manifold gaskets or the oil pan swap I have parts for all?
just looking for some peoples inputs on what way I should go.

lim = easy...2 beers

oil pan = hard...6 pack then you'll probably say screw it and head inside for the day.

So I say take care of lim first unless your oil pan is leaking bad.

i would suggest yanking the motor out, replacing the LIM gaskets, then remove the pan and rear cover (its probably leaking, im up to nearly 75% of em are bad) and replace them.

the rear block covers can leak coolant AND oil externally or internally....just depends how the gasket splits around the rear bank oil galley and coolant passage

Both are leaking a good. Oil out the pan and coolant out the lim.
I did the tran pan last weekend and tran mount.

Lim first since your going to be dumping oil into the valleys to clean up any coolant that might of gotten into it then eventually draining the oil so it'll be best the do the pan last since you'll need to drain the oil anyways.

Lim takes a hour or 2 so you should be able to knock it out rather quick. The pan well that will take some times

Do the valve cover gaskets at the same time as the lim and see if that takes care of your oil leak.

just to show you how serious the rear cover problem is...

this is from an 06 with 70k

i used to say it was 50/50 but the last 3 motors ive regasketed... all needed the rear cover

so nowadays id put it at 3 in 4 are leaking coolant/oil either externally/internally/mixing

so now there's a perfectly good reason to yank the motor to replace the gaskets....

help what the hell is that in the. coolant runner

That runner is blocked off. That's .. considered "normal".

Gotta agree with James (SBC), as I've also found that a lot of guys redo the oil pan gasket to find something is still leaking. Typically that rear engine cover. Low torque plus no locktite, I usually find those bolts less than finger tight.

That blocked off port looks like that due to Dex Cool becoming acidic and pitting the metal. I was pissed for a moment or two when I did my LIM gaskets, thinking all four ports should be open. Oops.
