Lim job

I'm trying to lift this lim up but it's not budging... Are there any hidden bolts or nuts I don't know about on the l67?

My injector holes are filthy. So are the injectors.

Yea I found it, it was the first bolt to your left in the picture. Thanks. Had a lot of gunk covering it. Looks like coolant and oil was mixing into the exhaust port if I'm not mistaken.

These are the only 2 ports with that milky sensation.....

There are no exhaust ports there. The intake ports are the large black ones with carbon built up all over and you can see the valves.

The picture that you circles are just coolant ports, and yes the LIM failed and the dexcool coolant turned to sludge on you. It will take a few coolant flushes to remove all of that.

Brake cleaner and a rag wok fine.

Install new o-rings when you are done.

Don't worry about breaking the little plastic piece at the bottom of the injector, I bet most of them will be half broke or missing already.

Uh. no. The holes he circled are the holes for the gasket's locator pins to keep it positioned properly.

PS.. you need to do more frequent oil changes, that'll clean up that nasty looking lifter valley over time.

I sure hope that's not what my lower intake manifold gasket looks like! My coolant was still fairly clear before it got flushed, just a bit of sludge.

That's the thing that got me puzzled because my coolant still looks good. Found out my o2 sensor had a dent in it. Prolly from when I got my exhaust work done. I'm just praying I can get this supercharger belt on.

I've seen many gaskets that you would never think were sealing. However the cars weren't burning coolant, it wasn't in the oil pan and everything was overall running well. It's the nature of the plastic frame gaskets. They can start to bow and flex inward at the ports in 20K or less.

I think kbb should have an option on these motors were if the lim was changed it would raise the value of the car. I don't know if I'm just getting old, because my whole body is sore after that job.

Ok, problem...... When I go into boost it sputters, sort of like making a pigeon noise with your mouth. I'm thinking it could be the stock belt on a 3.4 pulley. That's the only thing different I did with the lim job
