• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

LIM gasket or Head Gasket?

Correct. It screws into the LIM at a wierd angle. Might want to use some thread sealer on it as well. Not saying they all leak, but I used some tape on mine and it's been leak free ever since install.

yeah..they "just" screw in.

You'll hate yourself for not changing it while the LIM was off the motor though.

Yeah, I didn't notice it till after the LIM was in and I was just finishing plugging everything in. Seems to be working ok so far with the electrical tape wrap so Ill wait till we get some nice weather.

Just remove the crossover pipe and then its pretty easy to access.

Yeah thats what I figured. Mind came out pretty easy so taking it out again shouldn't be a problem. I do kinda want to replace all the cross over nuts and bolts with grade 8 SS, what do you guys think about that?

Ah I did forget to ask you guys something, these two bolts are stripped out. Can anyone recommend me a tap size to get the holes threaded again?Tap.jpg

EDIT wow I also forgot to ask you guys if there is a source on the screws for the MAF. I lost one..

Ok guys, think I have an exhaust leak at the cross over pipe. I might have been to genital with them bolts as I feared stripping them. I didn't notice any gaskets on them when I toke it off, I assume they just don't have any? How tight can I crank down on them bolts before I risk breaking them off? Would replacing the nuts and bolts with SS stuff be worth it?

No need for SS stuff. It won't be any different than what you already have.

There are bulges that seal. Warm the car up a little and tighten them a little at a time while it's running until you get the leak. As for how tight can you go before breaking a bolt. Well that's about 1/4 turn before it snaps. How can we tell you that. I airgun these bolts and they take it well.
