LIM change and blocked coolant passage

So my 98 GTP with 140,000 started getting the low coolant light with no external leaks, so started my LIM gasket change. First off i snapped the aluminium snot off the alternator bracket trying to slowly get it out. Then when I pulled the manifold off a coolant passage was full of this nasty gunk. Where it meet the manifold it caused pitting. So I am guessing it was a ball of corrosion? Also snapped a bucnh of brittle vacuum lines in the process as well as a nipple off the boost control so I have to find one of those as well. Fix one thing break another, just my luck. So Parts hunting I go Monday. Here are some pics.

Looks tasty. those elbows always break. Once you get it back together flush the cooling system to get that **** outa there.

Good thing you caught it when you did! Lifter valley looks fairly clean, much better than mine was. :th_laugh-lol3:

Take a better pic of your alternator bracket. I probably have one sitting here. You will be very lucky if you didn't snap part of the timing cover as well. That's why GM changed from the 97/98 bracket with metal elbow to 99+ with both elbows as plastic.

I have the BCA as well if that's the nipple you broke...

You shouldn't have to worry about that little bit of pitting. It's quite normal.

Take pics..and I'll shoot you the bracket for shipping costs, BCA.. we can work something reasonable out.

I got lucky and no damage to the timing cover. Found a junkyard that gave the the bracket and the BCA for $40. Thanks for the offer. If I goof this up I will have to get with you as I looked all over town for this one.
