in the process of helping a friend change lim on a 04 gp, are there any hidden bolts? We are looking at a bare lower intake. Only thing in question is by the crossover pipe and behind the egr on the intake is a plate with two bolts blocked by the crossover.

help! unless the dealer glued this thing on years ago we are stuck. does have aluminum gaskets on already and are leaking.

excuse if my sentences dont make sense, im sure you'll all understand my frustration.

I'm going to assume it isn't supercharged since you never mentioned.

Two bolts are "hidden", according to GM. One at each end of the LIM and would normally be concealed by the UIM.

Red arrows point to where the two bolts are. As you can see mine were hidden by oil:

First time I've ever heard of the aluminum gaskets leaking. You sure the dealer put in the aluminums?

ha ha ha lol, thanks so much guys!! ha ha ha delirium! The one place we didnt check.

yeah the car had warranty work done at the dealer, so we're sure the aluminums were done there. I'm going to have my friend return the plastic felpros and get the gm gaskets.

thanks again.

No guarantee. I've seen people take their 3800 to the dealer and get the plastics again. They're cheaper and they're trying to burn through their stock of them.
