Hey everyone, First time starting a thread on here. Just looking for some opinions!

I just recently upgraded from a dark green 97 grand prix gt to a 2004 grand prix gt2. this one is a black 4dr with no engine mods yet. Though I do have an apt to get the windows tinted tomorrow morning, and I am doing the good ol VHT to my tail lights this evening... but the point of this thread is to check some rims out. So here are the rims I plan on ordering, What do you guys/gals think? Anyone know somewhere I may be able to get these rims as CHEAP as possible.

cheap? no where. 20s are expensive no matter where you go. the tires are going to be nearly as much as the rims too.
 
Ya, the car is all black. I also tinted the tail lights last night (went great, pictures to follow), and now I'm at work while my car sits 30 minutes away having it's windows tinted. Gone with a 15% in the front and 10% for the back/rest of the windows. So the car will be... Very black. haha.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good chrome grill to buy? Gotta have something to shine with the rims. haha
 
Terrible news for anyone who cares, My VW550 rims are no longer in stock at the local shop! they would now double in price to order so I'm not getting those ones this year... : (

Mind you, I'll be picking up my 20" Velocity VW166's today... hoot hoot!
They are not nearly as exciting, but DUBS be DUBS and I'll sport the big and shiny!

Should have having a photo shoot for the car soon, hopefully tonight or tomorrow.
 


Nice, I am more into the performance but hope it looks good when its done :D Whereabouts in Niagara are you from?
 
Yeah u know personally I don't like giant rims on a car but that's just me. I like a good mix of body mods and performance mods on my cars. And 20s would likely knock down performance a smidge
 
20s are the best size to put on these cars. if you care about performance or are a wiener then you get 18s or 17s.
 


So I ended up picking up my rims two days ago! HOOT HOOT.
I didn't get the black and chrome ones though... : (
They were out of stock when I showed up which meant the warehouse needed to order them..... a.k.a. Needed to rob a 20 year old white guy for an extra 200$ a rim. haha

SO I went with my second pick.

They look SICK on the car with the black windows/tail lights.

no, 18s just need a smaller spoke. im not much of a fan of anything over a 5 spoke either.

that rim would look better if it was bigger. get what im sayin? im not sure what i would get if i were to buy rims again..

There is the car with the rims. Cousin took the pics with her cell phone when she was in town. SICK haha.

And to clarify the discussion, I still went with the 20s. The change is performance is barely noticeable, still ate up all my buddies on the hwy last night. haha Just looked better doing it :cool:

There she is from behind with the tinted tail lights too. They still look a little red in the sun light, so it's not so heat during the day. Got a lot of compliments at Cruise Night last night in Niagara Falls.
