so this is completely hypothetical. but after the winter im thinking about getting rid of my bullitts and getting some nice lightweight wheels. does anyone know any nice looking 17 or 18 inch light wheels that are preferably black? hopefully with a polished lip would be nice. even some nice multispokes would be cool, just dont want any stupid ricey looking wheels. any help is appreciated
 


youre going to pay an arm and a leg for actual lightweight wheels over 15" or so. look for rota, volk, centerline, etc.
 
Has far as lightweight the purpose it serves is to free up some unsprung weight, but switching from the mustang wheels to 18 I don't know if it will make that much of a difference weight wise or performance wise.
 
damn. im hoping they wont cost too much. i think i should just go with 17's if i decide to do it... idk ill look around i guess. see what i can dig up
 
yes bullitts are heavy i know a guy who ran his stock rims vs his bullits in the quarter and it made 3-4 tenths difference....im getting hoosier qtps on torque stars for the track and keeping my bullits for the streets :)....wuold def be nice to have some lightwieght wheels tho...
 
yeah. im starting to hate the heavy wheels. i just put my torquestars on for the winter and it kinda clicked to me how heavy the bullitts were. the thing is i would definitely like some light 17's but i wanna keep the blacked out look i have with the bullitts
 


dammit jeff you made 2 threads!!!! i might go with the storms for the spring/summer. id like to buy the C5 and throw some CCW's on it. your car is already my twn so we can have the same wheels, you just need the SLP Gen1, the roof rails, and get rid of that hideous steering wheel :D

hahaha yeah i know right. i hate my steering wheel. the storms are really nice bu t so damn expensive. maybe if i was able to find a used set somewhere
 


yeah im not selling them just yet. ill let you guys know if i decide to. i gotta think about it after winters over
