lifter replacement

I'm about to replace lifters in a 98 GTP and I was wondering when I put it back together when I reinstall the rocker arms can I just tourque them down or do I have to rotate the motor and do it several times

Hand tighten all rocker arm bolts.
Turn the engine over as you go...
Apply final torque to rocker arm bolts individually when they are not under "lift" from pushrod/lifter/cam lobe.
You should be able to wiggle them around at that time, to confirm they are not applying pressure on the valve.

Rocker bolt torque depends on which bolts you use. Stock bolts are TTY and should be replaced when you remove them. The spec on a stock bolt should be x ft lbs plus x degrees. Reusable bolts are torqued to 25lt lbs.

On rotating the motor. I do. Obviously some of the valves are compressed and some aren't. Therefore...while you will typically end up with goood torque across all by just torquing, I have found one or two cases where rotoating the motor helped torque evenly.

x2 on what ajl227 and billboost37 said thats what I did when I installed my ls7 lifters and it hasnt blown up yet

11 ft lbs. +90*...with a stock cam, I will just torque them all without turning the motor over an be done.
