LF3 or LF4

I've been reading up on DOHC V6 engines from GM and have come to find the LF3 and LF4 from Cadillac are putting out some insane horsepower for a V6. I understand some differences in OHV vs. OHC already so no need to explain that. I'm wondering if it would be any benefit to drop one of these into a Grand Prix? Would there be any benefit to this? I'm wondering if we could get a good DOHC V6 running better horsepower with just as good fuel economy as we have with our 3.8's. This is just a simple question I thought I'd ask in the engines forums. Any thoughts?

Sure the power benefit would be awesome but there is no way to control the motor/trans.

Our cars are far too old and don't have any of the computers required to run something like that. Everything today runs on a CAN BUS system, so motor, trans and bcm all talk with each other. Perhaps running it with a mega-squirt could work but thats alot of work.

Thats just how I look at it, cool on the power side but not something that could be done.

Good stuff, if it wasn't too much work, I might of actually gone looking for an engine in the junkyard as they are 2013 and 2014 engines.

You can get the 3800 to produce the same power, with much less work/expense. It would certainly be a cool swap, though.
