LEV? How did they do it?

The 2000-2003 Grand Prix has LEV status. How did Pontiac manage that? I'm hoping they didn't do what Subaru did with the WRX, STi, Legacy turbo, Baja turbo, and Forester turbo, and put tumble generator valves on the intake runners, or anything foul like that.

LEV = Low Emissions Vehicle

As far as I know, no "dirty tricks" were used. Just normal computer programming and the normal emissions controls, EGR, cat, etc.

Hehe, I just cracked myself up. Referring to devices that reduce emissions as 'foul' is quite ironic.

Thank you, that helps quite a bit. Makes sense that more advanced computer controls can make the engine burn cleaner. Glad they didn't have to resort to stupidity (I had my car with the exhaust half disassembled for over 2 weeks trying to remove one of the 3 catalytic converters they put in there, only to have an oil feed line to my turbo tear).
