• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Let's just rename this PurpleGuy's GTO tuning endeavor

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Finally got around to put the HP3 LED's I got from Diode Dynamics. The hot spots aren't nearly as bright as the pictures make them look. The camera seems to overexpose a bit. Things to note: They seem to be very nice LED's, although one of the little distribution lenses came off and I ended up having to glue it back on, not a huge deal. They dim very well. They're reversible which is nice so you don't have to worry about polarity.

Day shot-Can actually notice that they're on during the day

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

They look good. You can tell there are hot spots where the bulb is actually pointing. I see them behind the red film as well. They are very nice LED's.

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

They are nice. I just hope they fair well. I don't want to have to pull them out and replace them ever. I'd also like to note the light bleeding from the other bulbs isn't nearly as noticeable now which is a plus

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Thanks

Rear Bilsteins showed up.

The other ones I posted actually are fronts and do have the sway link attachment for an 04/05 car. I know guys have swapped to 97-03 LCA's to use different struts. The spindle is the same though correct? Just want to make sure that these front Bilsteins will bolt up to my knuckle. When I have time I intend to pull one of my struts off and make sure the Bilstein will bolt up fine.

Yes they are the same

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

So I shouldn't have any problems with these. I'll just have extra sway link mounts. No biggie. Thanks

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Got a new front Dorman bar. Initial thought is holy **** it's heavy. Weighs about 20 lbs. Also got new strut mounts. Still trying to decide on what springs I want to run.

Still waiting on my Addco rear bar.

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

i like the height of eibachs and not to firm but some people complain they are too stiff. also eibach is pretty low. im pretty certain those would be great on a bilstein strut since i think those are better struts than kyb agx too.

jelly you got a set of bilsteins!

i had eibachs on agx struts on my regal gs that committed suicide and burned down.

i have eibachs now to put on some excel g struts for my gp again. not sure how long they will last with eibachs but again i liked the height of those springs and not too harsh of a ride imo.

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Harsh ride isn't really a corncern. My coils were pretty stiff. I'll sacrifice ride quality for handling improvement

Well it's on crappy stock everything at the moment. Worn out saggy springs, original struts, broken front sway lol. What ev. Totally going through it. Also doing new LCA's and running those Moog bushings for the vertical mounts like frosty. Probably going to order poly bushings where the bar mounts to the subframe. Already planned on poly end links.

Ive also been really contemplating on ordering every part bmr offers.

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Okay so the BMR stuff. Options are red and black. Red doesn't really mesh with anything but I don't want boring black that just blends in. I kind of want red to show them off but it doesn't match what so ever. Thoughts?

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Black...

No need to show off with bright red parts..

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

But who spends gobs of money on suspension parts and doesn't want to show them off?

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Non Ricey people

Function > form

You know what's under there that should be good enough

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Haven't ordered any BMR stuff yet but I will sometime.

Finally bought springs. I ordered WBodystore springs. Hopefully I like them. If not guess i'll try different ones.

Umm..heater core started leaking..yay. I have one on order. Really dreading doing it.

I think that's it.
