Leds that beat with the subs

So I was thinking about getting some leds that beat to the sound of the subs. I've seen some in my Buddys car a while back and i was wondering if anyone knows how to do this and where to get the materials from

If anyone knows how to do this it would be appreciated if they shared their vast knowledge with me. Thanks :D
 


ive seen the opposite, bc the amp is drawing too much power and all the electronics dim with each beat. lol. i would imagine youd have to wire the leds to the amp somehow.
 
i did tht to a pair of subs i had. the amp was mounted to the box. with the speaker wires coming from amp to the speakers. take the light wires red and black wires from the lights. hook them into the amp where u got the wires going to the speakers. the amp will give the lights power to light up when the bass hits.
 
sweet thanks. i thought it was that simple but i just wanted to make sure. Just to make sure you put the red in the positive terminal for the speaker wire and the black in the negative terminal right? Or whatever color the wires are for positive and negative

That's exactly what I was going to suggest.
 


the street glow underglow lights for my car has a vibration setting, takes very little volume from the speakers to set it off
 
Yea doesnt autozone and advanced auto sell ones that jump to music. I got one from advanced auto when i was in high school
 


lights with subs is somethin a ricer would do and claim 15 whp. planning on havin a rave in ur car?
 
I never said it was gonna add horsepower and it's not like there gonna be all over the car just in the trunk with the subs so I can open up the passthrough if i feel like it
